Lindsay Pickett, Owner
Lindsay believes in a fit mindset and healthy lifestyle. Her goal is to provide an inclusive community for women to gain strength, endurance and confidence.
Lindsay graduated with a BA and started working in the event industry. When she became pregnant with her first son, she knew she wanted to shift her focus back on health and fitness, she wanted to help women feel good about themselves during and after pregnancy. She started Active Mom, and never looked back. Since than she has created a fun and challenging environment for women to work out and not feel judged. In addition to being a certified Personal trainer she is also TRX certified, RRCA running coach, and a part of the Howard County Striders racing team.
Other than making women feel their best, she is a Mom of two very active boys.
Erin Karara, Instructor
Erin Karara is a certified yoga teacher (RYT-200), running coach and fellow fitness enthusiast. She enjoys pushing the limits of what our bodies and minds are capable of and loves to explore how yoga complements other fitness disciplines. Erin’s yoga classes are approachable and fun while also allowing individual’s the freedom to explore trying out new and challenging poses in a safe space.
Rachel Collins, LCPC
Rachel Collins is an LCPC clinical therapist that believes strongly in the mind-body connection. She has been practicing yoga since college and grew up with a dance background. Rachel began running in high school and is currently a certified running coach and member of the Howard County striders Race Team. Rachel and Lindsay host ultimate wellness retreats for the mind and the body.
Karen Shuttleworth, Instructor
Mother of two amazing boys! Wife, daughter, sister, friend, athlete and system engineer.
She was active as a child participating many sports, such as swimming, basketball, cheerleading, and softball. During her career working as a system engineer at the Naval Warfare Surface Warfare Center, she felt that something was missing, she has always felt the calling to help others. After reflecting on interests and passions, she made the decision to become a personal trainer. Karen is currently an ISSA-certified personal trainer. She has specializations in Functional Corrective Exercise and Sports Nutrition. She is in in the progress of getting a specialization in glute mechanics. She is so very excited to help you on your journey in health and fitness!
One of Karen's favorite mantras is "Someday I may not be able to do this, but today is not that day!" Let's do this!!
