Kalahari in the Poconos

We were supposed to go to Hersheypark last Christmas with my sister and her kids but one of the kids got sick so none of us went. This year we decided to try Kalahari waterpark in the Poconos. Jesse took off Friday, we went from Friday to Saturday that gave us access to the water park Friday and Saturday. It’s about a 4 Hour Dr. from Clarksville but we took back roads up 83 so it was a nice scenic drive. We didn’t tell the kids we were going and once we drove past it you could see big waterslides on the outside of the resort and Coles eyes lit up! We got there around 2:30, and we were able to check in we got dressed and headed straight to the water park, and boy was it a water park! It was HUGE - so many different slides to go down. The look on the boys face when we walked in was just shock. Being that it was a Friday it wasn't that crowded, there was only one slide that there was about a 15 minute wait. There were about 10 different slides to choose from, a huge water castle area for small kids to play in, and huge pool area for baby size to toddlers. Connor is 42 inches tall so he was able to go on all the rides, but even if your child isn't that tall, there is still so much to do!

We didn't even do all the slides the first day. We ended the day around 7 pm, we went back to the room and got ready for dinner. We met my sister at the italian resturant, there are plenty of options there. I did bring my own food (I will list below) but it just wasn't enough. We did have a mini fridge and microwave in our rooms!

We got a couple of pizzas for the table and salad, the restaurant wasnt too crowded and I would rate it a 6 out of ten.

When we woke up Saturday we went down to the breakfast kiosk, they have breakfast sandwiches, bagels, muffins and COFFEE! They also had an option for a breakfast buffet, but this place suited our needs just fine.

We went back to the water park and boy was it different on a saturday - so much more crodwed! It wasn't so pack we couldn't do things, but it was defintely more crowded then Friday.
